The Michelin Energy XM2+ has been thoroughly tested by Michelin against similar premium tyre competitors such as Bridgestone Ecopia EP300, Goodyear Assurance Triplemax 2, Continental ComfortContact CC6 and Pirelli Cinturato P1.
Michelin Energy XM2+ Keeps You Safer Than The Competition For Longer
When testing the wet braking distances of the Michelin Energy XM2+ against other premium brands, results showed that XM2+ was stopping 1.5 metres shorter than the competition when new. When worn, the XM2+ still came in first place with a stopping distance 2.6 metres shorter than the competition.
Testing the tyre when worn demonstrated the superior braking power throughout the tyres’ life. This is thanks to the new rubber compound technology which allows more tyre-ground contact area at the micro-scale to generate higher level of grip throughout the life of the tyre.

Michelin Energy XM2+ Lasts Longer Than The Competition
For our mileage-conscious consumers, Michelin Energy XM2+ lasts longer…
When testing the mileage and longevity of the Michelin Energy XM2+ against other premium brands, results showed that XM2+ outlasted competitors on mileage by 25%. This is due to an improved tread rubber compound which creates stronger link of filler-to-filler molecular bonds, that help to minimise wear rate, and therefore results in long mileage.
**Longevity test conducted by China Automotive Technology and Reseach Center Co.,Ltd (CATARC) (an independent 3rd party), on Michelin’s request, in September 2018 in TianJin, China, on dimension 205/55 R16 91V on VolksWagen GOLF7 comparing MICHELIN ENERGY XM2+ versus Premium Competitors (figures represent the average of 5 other premium brands). Longevity test run in average real usage with 20,000 km run and estimated longevity at the depth of Tread Wear Indicator.
